Field Service Engineer and Optical Engineer in the South.  Zest Medical are working with a well established and successful Ophthalmic, Optometric & Digital Imaging Equipment Supplier in the United Kingdom, who due to continued success are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer for a full time vacancy to service ophthalmic equipment in the South.

As an Optical field Engineer you will be responsible for providing service and engineering support for all the company's range of ophthalmic equipment.  The role is hands on and requires the engineer to instigate and affect a continuing maintenance program for their area of responsibility. You will service clients who will typically be optical outlets and ophthalmology departments.  Ideally educated to HND or Degree level in a related subject, you will be highly motivated, flexible, computer literate and highly skilled in an electro-mechanical service and repair environment and willing to join their dedicated Support

 Knowledge, Skill and Experience required:

• A passionate and loyal engineering professional with ideally a track record of successful service delivery.
• Knowledge of working on ophthalmic instrumentation
• Strong electro-mechanical engineering background.
• The most important skills required are concerned with your character, self-motivation, team-working, prioritisation (management of diverse tasks), ability to work under pressure, effective time management and organisation, customer-focus and the willingness to take ownership of projects.
• Above all,a professionalattitude to work and an aptitude to learn is of paramount importance in this role.
